- Qualifications
1. Bachelor degree in aeronautical engineering or relevant or an appropriate Part 66 license.
2. Formal aeronautical training on –at least- one of aircraft types operated by JAV.
3. At least five years’ experience in aviation industry with appropriate knowledge of airworthiness regulations.
4. Knowledge of applicable regulations, and Legislation course on CARC Part-M, Part- 145, Part 21 and JAV CAME.
5. Knowledge of maintenance methods.
6. Required Basic / Recurrent Training as per CAME 0.3.25
7. Has practical experience and expertise in applying the Aviation Safety Standard

- Duties and Responsibilities
1. Interface with all stake holders i.e. contracted AMOs, Operation Control Centre OCC …, to ensure airworthiness and operational aspects are met.

2. Ensure aircraft technical log system is utilized and filled out properly in accordance with JAV procedures to record all relevant data.

3. To Monitor and ensure the aircraft on-board certification and documents are current & securely placed.

4. Coordinate with Technical Publication to ensure the revisions of the technical manuals used by engineering and contracted AMOs are current and distributed.

5. Maintain sectional man-power plan and task analysis to ensure continuity of work, and manage the competency of staff laying under his/her responsibility.

6. Ensure all maintenance faults, malfunctions, unscheduled defects, deferred defects and other occurrences which could affect the continuing airworthiness on all JAV fleet are monitored and controlled.

7. Ensure daily defect analysis is performed and published, and arrange with CAMO manager (Head of Engineering) for MEL Item(s) extension if the rectification interval cannot be met due to circumstances.

8. Communicate with material section and all involved parties to ensure the required spare parts or materials are availed ahead of time, to ensure appropriate defect rectification.

9. Ensure all scheduled maintenance tasks and line maintenance checklists are performed in compliance with the approved maintenance program.

10. Arrange for the issuance of Trouble Shooting recommendations for the deferred defects, whenever it is realized that actions by LM after several attempts did not solve the issue.

11. Participate and provide recommendations to enhance Maintenance Program effectiveness whenever need arise.

12. Control of Pooled/loaned parts.

13. Communicate with contracted AMO to ensure Fly Away Kit is properly packed and placed on-board.

14. Embrace a proper corrective action in coordination with the reliability section, service engineering and contracted AMOs to control the recurring defects.

15. Act in communication with CAMO Manager, quality manager and all involved in case of AOG condition to ensure support and coordination to release the aircraft back to service.

17. Take over control of technical delays whenever an extended delay is anticipated, and advise all concerned of the delay and estimated time of aircraft serviceability, and provide further updates whenever available.

18. Retain continuing airworthiness records related to section duties in compliance with JAV CAME and applicable regulations.

19. Review and implementation, as appropriate, of any additional JCAR national requirements.

20. Preform all tasks as requested by the Head of Engineering.
